Selections from the Haecceities Series

A Haecceity that is distributed algorithmically in correlated sets of matrices appears beneath the image of such a set of matrices. (On the use of 'Haecceity' in Essentialist Abstraction see the video On Haecceities: Essentialism and the Limits of Abstraction. On the algorithmic distribution of Haecceities in matrices see the video On the Haecceities Series.) An individual matrix can be enlarged for viewing by clicking on it in the smaller framed image in which it appears below. (Matrices cannot be enlarged in the enlarged image that results from clicking on “View larger image” that appears beneath the smaller image.)

The language of a circular Haecceity that figures in a work from the series that employs such language can be read by clicking on 'View circular language' that appears beneath an image in which that language appears. The image itself can also be enlarged by clicking on it.

Click on the supporting language of a work with matrices to enlarge that language for reading. (Do this on the smaller framed image containing the language that first appears below. It is not possible to enlarge supporting language in the enlarged image that results from clicking on “View larger image” that appears beneath the smaller image.) The supporting language of circular Haecceities that have such language can be enlarged for reading by clicking on “View supporting language” that appears beneath the image. (On the supporting language of a work see the video On the Haecceities Series.)

Certain contrasts and subtle differences between parts of an enlarged image may be more apparent when viewed from an oblique angle, particularly in enlarged images containing matrices.

Additional selections from the Haecceities Series will be featured from time to time.
